About the Author
Dr Mary Mather is a retired Community Paediatric Consultant with a special interest in FASD. She served as chair of the BAAF Health Advisory Panel for 5 year, wrote the text book, "Doctors for Children in Care" and is currently a Trustee of The FASD Trust. She and her husband live in London; they have 5 grown-up children, 3 of whom are also doctors. Julia Brown is an adoptive mum of two children. She and her husband, Simon, started The FASD Trust to provide support for other parents of children with FASD. Julia writes and lectures widely on FASD, particularly its impact on family life and on professional practice. She and her family live in Oxfordshire.
