About the Author
The author smoked for a total of 31 years. She quit smoking "cold turkey" years ago, enduring horrible withdrawal symptoms, and gaining 30 pounds in the process. Before long, she went back to smoking, vowing never to quit again. She lost the weight and continued to smoke, ignoring the health problems associated with smoking. When she learned that she might have a serious illness, she faced the harsh realities of the harmful effects of smoking and decided she had to quit. Concerned about weight gain and the fact that she enjoyed smoking too much to quit, she developed her own smoking cessation program. Her program enabled her to happily quit smoking, with minimal withdrawal symptoms, and without gaining weight. On 2/25/2018, it was 10 years since she quit, and she's confident that she will never smoke again.
