Kathy Maupin, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and founder of BioBalance Health, a practice dedicated to helping men and women in midlife who are experiencing symptoms associated with hormone deficiency. She is the author of the Women's Healthcare Initiative legislation, which became law in Missouri in 2000 and protects women's rights to receive care from OB/GYNs without a referral, as well as provides for insurance coverage for plastic surgical reconstruction for women who have breast cancer. Kathy is also the founder of St. Louis political action committee Physicians for Sound Healthcare Policy. She co-hosts weekly video health podcasts that address current issues related to aging and relationships.
