About the Author
Steven Michael Rakes is a lifelong member of the Greek Orthodox Church. He grew up in the Midwest and has made his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota where her lives with Popie, his wife of 41 years. He has three adult children and three grandchildren. He is a practicing physician and surgeon. In his spare time he enjoys reading the Fathers of the Church and volunteering whenever possible at his home parish, St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church in Minneapolis. The highlight of his spiritual life has been his trips to Mt. Athos. He is hopeful that this collection will be an inspiration to all who read it.
