Description
"My War My Life" is a story of a teenage girl whose life was thrown upside down by the German invasion. From the life of the pre WWII Polish privileged class to the Nazi inflicted deprivations. The teenager managed her daily life with zest: Germans forbade academic education - she became the best student in the clandestine high school. She pursued her talents in Modern Dance and developing her naturally set Mezzo Soprano Voice. But above all she refused to succumb to dangers and fears and became a member of the Polish resistance organization carrying guns, making investigations and eventually fighting in street battles during the 1944 Warsaw uprising. After many life's near escapes, border crossings and other dangerous escapades managed to reach eventually the American forces in Western Germany.
